Bath Half

Today was my annual 'maybe next year' day as I watched in admiration as 15,000 runners took off on the Bath Half Marathon. In true Bath style, in appeared to be organised by a team of enthusiastic amateurs, and the whole thing was delayed by an hour by someone not turning up with a marquee, whilst many of the runners were stranded at the park and ride. I'm full of admiration for the athletes though and, in the time it had taken me to saunter around the centre of the city and back to the start/finish, the leaders had completed their 13 miles and were sprinting over the line.
