Threipmuir Reservoir
Threipmuir was built as part of a group of three reservoirs to extend the water supply to Edinburgh between 1843-1848. Outbreaks of Cholera had led to a big effort in the first half of the 19th century to produce uncontaminated water for the city.
Today the wind across the reservoir was fierce - almost couldn't stand up - and pretty cold too.
