Parade of Bikers
Today was the parade of 100,000 some bikers, known as the Rolling Thunder, in honor of war veterans, down by the Washington Mall. Impressive. My hearing has just only returned... :)
My blip features the bikers right after they've crossed the bridge from Virginia into DC, with the Lincoln Memorial in the background. The lone marine stood at attention in that same spot, without moving for the better part of four hours, in 90 degree heat. War comrades on their bikes saluted him as they rode by and some deposited red-white-blue flowers by this feet.
