nestled in...

what excitement... nests abound - all around it seems... mama birds are taking care... building, building, building sometimes in the funniest and most unexpected of places. a friend of mine discovered this nest in the wreath on her front door....boo!

and then one day - after a flurry of activity... there began to appear the smallest of eggs... yay! the promise of new life - things to come - soon chirping that will signal hungry little beaks wanting food. currently, the mama comes... the mama goes... we haven't been able to figure out what kind of bird she is except that she's a small thing and very good in taking care of her eggs.

so now we're waiting... and hoping once born, they'll be okay to survive amongst the rest of god's creation.
