Montezuma National Widlife Refuge

Today was avery unplanned day....I wanted to get out and look for some "good stuff" to photograph, but we never left home until after 3 this afternoon. Add to that no determined destination and today was just pretty much a bust.

We drove around some and wound up not too far from the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge. This can be agreat place to visit with a long lens and lots of time...I had left my telephoto lens home and it was getting late.

We saw some geese (Canada) and af few Great Blue Herons. I thought this was the best photo of the lot, so here it is. Not very spectacular, but it was just "one of those days"!
