Take it down
It's a curious thing that this property developer owned site is allowed to continue standing. The cordon out into the road has been there since the September 4 earthquake last year. Each subsequent earthquake causes more damage.
Those of us forced to drive, bike or walk by it wonder what the "special powers" decreed by an act of parliment actually mean. In the case of Rapaki Property Development, very little. Yet there is a discernable lean to the building and it's covered in cracks.

If you look in the distance on the right you can see a bit of the Port Hills. Beneath them lies one of the faults (probably a myriad of faults) that regularly move and disturb our fragile equilibrium. Yes, not far away and you can see they remain beautiful and a much loved part of our landscape.
I think I'm caught up with back blips. I've certainly caught up with a few people and things over the past few days. Still working on those ribs and the dregs of my cold.
