Traction engine

This is a T E 1 mini traction engine made by my grandfather.

Wierdly, my favorite thing about it is the smell. It reminds me of his workshop where he made this along with 3 others (one for each of his daughters) as well as other steam engines which were usualy hooked up to computers displaying graphs of which I have no idea what they measured.

Needless to say he was a very clever chap. He also made a steam train which could pull around 6 people on a little track at the bottom of the garden. This was THE best thing when your going through your wanting to be a train driver phase!
