one of 'The Jersey Girls'.
I was full of high expectations that today was going to be warm and sunny - ha!
It has been grey and wet so apart from getting on with a bit more of my latest knitting project it hasn't been a day of great excitement. Pleasant though, we went into Thirsk later this morning but because of the weather the Bank Holiday market wasn't really happening. The church has an art exhibition by local primary schools on the theme of Thirsk so that was good and we stayed to have lunch in the crypt which was a treat. Had a cuppa with the lovely H next door, no kittens as they were in bed asleep! Managed to have our usual afternoon walk through the field of Jersey cows and this one followed us all the way and looked longingly after us as we crossed the stile so here she is.
Actually, on reflection it's been a good day and look, the sun is coming out!
(Sounds like that old record, 'Hello Mother, Hello Father' anyone remember it?)
