When You're Down, Don't Give Up.

The man and his explorers found themselves in a difficult situation. While walking for days, without coming across sufficient food, they began to panic, though no one had the mindset of revealing it. When one of the explorers collapsed, they all gathered around with helpless expressions. The man couldn't bare the sight of one of his fellow explorers suffering and turned around for a second to grasp his emotions. Just then a new creature walked up to him with earnest eyes. "If it is food you seek, take a look around. You don't have to be served a four course meal on a silver platter, the earth is filled with scrumptious delicacies that you have been walking past and trampling for hours. This is not the place for pity; for if you pity your soul, your soul becomes pitiful." The man heard a small chirping sound from the grass a couple feet from the creature, it was a rather large creature that could jump far into the air and spread its wings in short bursts. What the earnest creature said was true; for days, the man and all of the explorers came across these peculiar creatures swarming in the area. It had not occurred to them, however, that they could be a source of nutrients. Without further contemplation, the man thanked the earnest creature and began the task of gathering the jumping creatures. After he had a small amount, he brought them to his fallen explorer. The earnest creature then turned and continued his journey home.
