i took a ride over to check on my parent's house while they're away - what that actually means is shovelling the junk mail away from their front door so that the post man can get more in through the letterbox

the road was still passable in 4x4s (and so 90% of the traffic was still getting through (why does everyone buy the bloody things now-a-days?))
