An evenings jaunt

Super long day at work today - After the office closed, a bunch of keen bat surveyors (including me!) traipsed over to the west coast for a bat survey. Chilly night, and for a disappointing 1,5hrs I saw not a single bat. Alls well that ends well, however, as I was treated to some feeding activity towards the end of the night, and learnt that the following... Bats (I'm hoping soprano pipistrelles in this case) swoop in close to us human surveyors - because there they know they will find around us the insects that are attracted to the CO2 that we breathe out (thereby giving the insects a clue as to where to get their next meal). Cool. Luckily for me, I had some nice roll on Jungle Spray....
