After the Taj Mahal yesterday, today was always going to be less exciting! We arrived in Jaipur at 11pm and found a hotel, which is rather grimy and smelly but acceptable for last minute. This morning after a beautiful rooftop breakfast we met our tuk tuk drivers from last night for a tour, and found a tower from which we could see the whole of the pink city. Next stop was the astronomical thing place, where we met two guys and a girl who had also been at the tower and decided to stick together. Next we went to a mausoleum, which was very ornate. Finally we went to a jewellery shop and I bought a ring, and also visited a guru - very odd! I'm quite sure that what he told me was generic, but it was still quite odd!

We then went to a posh hotel - the Park Prime - to meet the Irish girls who were in Jaipur for the day. It was great to catch up and have some expensive drinks in an English pub (???), before they went off to get their train and we went to get food. This evening we hope to go to the cinema and then for some drinks with our drivers - they're very friendly and cheerful but quite loud...
