Inchcolm Abbey
. . . Viewed from Aberdour, Fife.
David the First established a priory on Inchcolm which became an abbey in 1235. It is now the best-preserved group of monastic buildings in Scotland.
Inchcolm is an island in the Forth Estuary in the East of Scotland. It is also a haven for wildlife - seabirds and seals.
