Boys and arrows

This beautiful bow was made by Fin at Forest School.

He discovered that if he places the end of it by his ear then he can strum the string and make gentle music. I love things with a dual purpose.

Today he made arrows and I helped him to make a quiver. It really is beautiful.

Carrying it slung across his body makes him look very noble and even more handsome than usual. He looks ready for adventure.

He'll be well on his way once he learns to point the poised arrow away from people.

Especially Grandfather.

Happy birthday to the man of the house who has been overshadowed by a bow and arrow scene. He got a hammer with a bottle opener on one end and a kids tea party so he can't complain.
