Night View in Midtown NYC

This evening we welcomed friends from France who will be staying in our New York apartment for a week, and then left for a mid-town hotel. We had points for a free night, and this happened to be the last date we could use them.

Our frequent travel has earned us top-tier status, and hence a room on the the top floor (the 22nd). This is the only view; I managed the shot only by hand-holding my camera as far as I could out the window's widest opening (only nine inches!) and using live view (24 mm, f/4.0, 1/6 second).

We're looking west along 46th Street; the intersection with the Avenue of the Americas (6th Avenue) is just visible.

We head back to Massachusetts tomorrow.
