Square Frames

The best part about Square Frames is the repetition of each day's assignment. That being, the need to take shots. Usually- as I have found twice now, when I plan on taking my day's pictures, the battery is shot. So, having to improvise has become second nature. The point is I get to surprise myself and capture something not necessarily great, but poignant in my life.

This is the Cherry Creek Mall parking garage. It's pretty easy to spot those individuals who work at the mall because they have the route to employee's parking levels down cold. That is to say, they have the shortcuts (if one can call them that) nailed. This is a typical scene after 9 PM when we all get to go home.

The best part of today? After leaving the store, I filled up Penelope and decided on another car wash. (She asked me specifically). After following the directions, I pulled into the finicky water fountain they call a carwash and pulled the emergency break. Then the doors closed, in front and behind. The lights went off and there I sat...for about 15 minutes. I figured something was wrong; so a few calls to my brother, who was asleep, a friend and useless 411 who 'doesn't have access to that kind of thing' when asked if they could Google an address- which was all I had on the receipt- I didn't want to get caught in a sudden start up of waterworks if I tried to exit the car, much the car wash. A few more nerves and chuckles later I found the emergency exit and ran into the store.

Low and behold, I got a Super Wash as opposed to the Quick Wash I had paid for. Hell yeah.

Thanks, Andrew.
