The Strand
Bit of a stressful journey back to the UK yesterday. Bought some sandwiches, water and crisps at the airport cost 18 euros. On the plane Mum decided she disn't like the sandwich I had bought for her, so she ordered a toastie, she didn't like that either, said it was like eating rubber.
We went to my brother's house in Crewe, then we all went out for a lovely meal, finally arrived back at Mums at 9.30pm, shattered. Unpacked her case for her and went to bed.
Today should have been Mum and A. Rose going to Southport shopping, Mum had a really bad dose of 'the runs' in the night so didn't feel up to going out. So, I went and picked A. Rose up, took her to Morrisons in Southport, spent 2 hours in the shop, then over the road to the dreaded B&M's, couldn't get what she wanted in there. Headed back to Mum's to check on her, then A. Rose and I went to the Strand as they have a B&M's there, got her drinks. Then it was a visit to Cool Trader, by now it was 4.25pm and the shops shut at 4.30pm, hence the deserted shopping precinct. I think the girl in Peacocks was praying that we didn't go in there, back to A. Rose's unpacked her shopping and put it all away for her. Home to Mum's quick cuppa then cook tea. Sarah and co arrived at 7.30 for a 'quick' visit. Couldn't believe how James has grown since I last saw him in January.
