Neidpath Castle

Just outside Peebles this castle is notoriously difficult to photograph as the A72 is a fairly busy road without pedestrian access. So I was over the moon today when I discovered that due to work on the bridge section of the road the side of the road was coned off. I parked on a very nearby lay-by and carefully walked back to capture the castle, so to speak. It's a very dour looking building with as it's main feature a fearfull dungeon. One day I have promised myself to go back and walk along the Tweed riverbank on the other side of the castle to photograph it from there!
