Birthday Party!

This morning we finally went to the wedding venue to discuss details. Everything looks great, the trees and flowers make the place look so much nicer than when we went at the beginning of April.

The weather changed quite suddenly though. After 2 months of basically no rain, it poured today. The weather forecast says it'll be like this for awhile. Can't help but feel a little worried, and have to prepare a plan B for our festivities, which of course isn't ideal. Please pray and believe with us that it'll be gorgeous on June 12th!

Our connect group prepared a surprise birthday party for Pablo, who is my first friend here in Turin. We all just invaded his place bringing along food and drinks. In London, when we say bring something to eat, we get crisps, vegetable sticks and hummus. Here, they bring 'real' food, like cooked stuff, and lots of sausages and ham!

What I love the most is the ice-cream. It's normal to go to a 'gelateria' where you usually get ice-cream cones and ask for a box like this to take away. Pick the flavours, done!
