Be Nice to me!

Today I gave blood for the first time in years. Back in 2007 I went to give but because I was on steroid eye drops for the iritis that flares up from time to time, they didn't want it. I was surprised by the cross examination - numerous questions are asked like "have you had a recent piercing or tattoo? Have you ever worked as a sex worker? Did you live in the UK for more than 6 months in the 80s or 90s? (mad cow disease) etc etc. You have to fill out the form and then go through it with a nurse. Then of course they test the blood before using. Very thorough.
