Manang and Manong

Manang Dusing and Manong Osing, a husband and wife team who migrated to this side of the island in 1965 from San Carlos City at the Oriental side. Have lived here ever since. Selling charcoal for the past 20 something years has been their form of livelihood. They have sent their children to school thru their meager earnings and they feel mighty proud of what they have accomplished.The sons and daughters are all grown now and have moved out and just pass by on occasion.
This is their home and place of business, a street behind our town's tiendahan. Each time my walk takes me to the market, I try to stop by for a short chat and of course to ask them to pose for me.
