Bursting into Life

Yes you've guessed it - I was out at Crathes Castle again this morning in the Walled Garden, what a lovely sunny morning 23 degrees!!

This shot is of a Giant Red Poppy just as it's beginning to open. I love the contrast between the greens and the red and the soft mottle colours in the background, and the textures on the outer leaves and the silky smooth petals
