Bush?!

No idea what this is called .. it was in the garden when we bought the house but the winter before last took it's toll on it and it refused to flower last year and looked for all the world like it was dead.

Spent the rest of the year saying "I must get that tree dug out" but procrastination is my middle name at times!

Anyway, it's sprouted again - the whole of the top half is definately dead and I'll saw that off (famous last words) but the bottom half is now covered in these pretty red flowers.

A neighbour has one about three or four times the height ... so I'm not even sure whether it's a bush or a tree!
