Bumble Bee

Can't say we've been as busy as a bumble bee. Since yesterday, the girls are out and spending three days (and two nights) at my in-laws. Martine received an email with a photo of the three of them having lots of fun, so we can have some fun ourselves without worrying about Nienke, Inge and Ellis.

I have been home since yesterday afternoon and I don't need to get back to work until Monday. Life is good. And so is the weather. Yesterday Martine and I went into town (Groningen, that is) for a bit of shopping. We utterly failed at that, but we did go to a great restaurant afterwards and enjoyed dinner together. As much as we love our girls, it is also great to be able to do some stuff with the two of us every now and then.

Today has been great too. A nice lazy morning, followed by a trip to the Lauwersmeer National Park for a walk. The weather was fabulous: nothing but sun and blue skies all day. Afterwards we visited Martine's uncle and aunt and had dinner there. That's where I took this bumble bee shot.
