The Dreaming Spires ... of Aberdeen

The view from the new office, looking across the green oasis that is Union Terrace Gardens towards the rear of Belmont Street and beyond.

This is a "new view" as a large elm tree was blow down in the recent storm (you can see the top of the trunk in the lower right corner of this pic and I blipped the fallen bit earlier this week).

So from the left we've got the old Congregational Kirk with its homage to Lund Cathedral blipped here; Marischal College on the skyline background (with cleaned lower parts and Mitchell Tower in original dirty state); St. Nicholas Kirk tower; Greyfriars Kirk; Slains Castle pub and the monolithic St. Nicholas House ... think thats the most prominent ones.

Cambridge eat your heart out - we've got our own dreaming spires up in the Granite City :-)
