Working

They have all these sculptures around Harbin that looks like grass, and finally saw how they prepare one of them. They slap and pat down these long pieces of grass mixed with a special type of mud and coat the whole metal frame of the sculpture. Here is the part I don't know: do they put grass on the mud or do the grass grow from the mud?

Have to ask one of my Chinese friends.
