Sad
It's been a rough couple of days.
Suffered over deciding about a job to take. Made a decision -- stupidly on the one that I didn't have a firm offer from -- and "budget cuts" nixed the deal. I'll tell you -- can I tell you? -- how absolutely crazy this country is regarding how it takes care of the health of its citizens???? My latest line is, "They would rather pay for an amputation than for the few hours it takes to help someone to deal with having diabetes." Many heartbroken tears the past couple of days. I can cry at the drop of a hat. I certainly did this morning when I took a wrong turn in Oakland and ended out in the carpool lane (me, and the dog) requiring a "fast-trak" (me, and my $5 bill in the ash tray of the rental car) of the Bay Bridge from Oakland to San Francisco (most definitely NOT where I wanted to end out). Bawling so uncontrollably that the California Highway Patrol guy had to ask me if I was planning to jump off said Bay Bridge (that does make me giggle) before he gave me an escort to Treasure Island (how's that?) and back to take the dog to doggie dog-care while I went to deal with my crazy mother. Ah, thanks, I feel better now.
Turn that frown upside-down.
