Time to go home

Our home in the Lakes for the last 6 days, with views towards Windermere and the hills in the far distance. Unfortunately, we have to head home today.

It's been a lovely week. I'm really glad I brought my bike, cos I've had some great rides (especially the long climb up to Kirkstone Pass), but it's been the walking that has made it. We've ticked Scafell Pike off the list (even though it was ultimately something of a disappointment, perhaps not helped by the weather and our choice of route) and Striding Edge and Helvellyn were amazing - probably one of the best walks I've ever done.

Sad to be leaving :-(
