Prelude To A Storm
Clouds have been pretty rare in the six months that we have lived in Zihuatanejo, Mexico, but that is all starting to change as we head into the rainy season. Tonight there was just this hint of cloud as the sun went down. These wispy tendrils of white must have massed together as the hours progressed because about 3:30 AM a full fledged storm, complete with thunder and lightning, raged for an hour or so. Predictably, at least according to the long-timers in the complex, we lost power, which made the lightning even more dramatic because there was no distracting lights. By the time the sun came up, however, the sky was clear and the only reminder of the previous night's storm were puddles on the ground and debris from the palm trees.
