My old new love...

Wow long time since posting. A lot has happened in the down-time!

My polo died a painfull death (as so much as 15 oil leaks in the space of 10 minutes from driving the whole way from Paris to London at 90mph), i've had to sell most of my computer equipment to cover credit card bills from Christmas etc.

And then i bought this...

She's (the original owner called it a HIM, by the name of Gary, but having had a feel under the engine, which makes her a tranny!) a 1989 VW Golf Sport 1.3, and she is a massive improvement over the Polo despite being older.

But she got broken into last week, and my radio got nicked...

So Monday, i had a bloke feeling up her insides and fitting a propper Thatcham alarm and imobiliser system to her, the side-effect of which is full central locking. A new cage for my spare radio arrived today, and i've put the speakers (removed whilst the car was being worked on) back in, and she sings fairly well for a pansy little 4x40w JVC trying to power a pair of Pioneer 75w 10in and a pair of Mutant 300w 6x9s. I suspect an amp will be working its way into this in a few months time along with some form of radio unit that works with an iPhone (hah).

Anywho, took a photo to show i am still alive, kicking, and....uh...clicking, and will be trying to take more photos to get back into the groove!
