Just a nibble...

...on this plant could cause instant death. The upper leaves and stems being the most potent they say. Even the flowers and seeds will be poisonous too.

It is of course, a foxglove, better known to toxicologists, botanists and crime writers as Digitalis. Because the toxin relies on the vagal effect within the body, it does not affect those who are acutely ill or those who are exercising.

So I'd best watch out then, as that currently does not apply to me.
