Donor

I have done didly squat today. Woke up downstairs at four o'clock, i'd fallen asleep on the way to brush my teeth. So I just jumped in the shower and expected to start my day a little earlier, but then when I went upstairs to get dressed I fell asleep and didn't get up until 11.30. But never mind.

After that just sort've spent the day doing a little bit of tidying here and there, sat outside for a bit in the 'glorious' sunshine. Personally it's all a bit too hot for me.

However this evening, myself and mum went to the hospital to donate blood. A couple of weeks ago, a friend at school came up to me and asked me if i'd ever considered blood donation. She'd benefited from it herself personally and was trying to show people how important it was. And so i've been trying to book an appointment for a while, and tonight me and mum managed to get a slot. It was both our first times, and it was really good and i'm so glad I did it.

There was a little race too, because they time how long it takes for your body to expel the necessary amount of blood (just about a litre), and I beat mum. Wheey. Anyways this is just a photo of the sticker I got, as a sort've memorium. And I think if you keep it up, you can get medals and stuff, so thats an added incentive for attending my next appointment on September 23rd.
