A day in the 'toon!

Had a super day today in my daughter Grace's old university city of Newcastle upon Tyne. Glorious weather, lovely friendly people, great shops - well except an hour in Primark!

It was part shopping trip for Grace to get a wedding outfit and a treat for me to see 'The Way'. This was at the Tyneside Cinema which is a small, Art Deco cinema so lots of blip opportunities there. Also in my favourite city street (voted the best street in Britain) Grey Street and fave place for lunch - the Cafe Royal. There was even a supermarket trolley sculpture/pyramid outside a pub near the station.

I was spoilt for choice but my last minute shot of the magnificent railway station has made it as my choice for today.

Footsore but happy and hoping for a lie in tomorrow as she gads off to Manchester for the weekend!
