Sleepover

Well, putting Katie to bed was a little "interesting". Aiden wouldnt be left to play in the travel cot. Katie wouldnt settle with Aiden in the room. But eventually sufficient toys and his dummy (which I always forget to try as I'm not used to it!) meant he played and I got Katie off. Aiden went off with no problem at all- bottle, into the cot awake and he settled down without a peep. Both babies asleep not long after 7.30. Aiden slept until 7.15. However, Katie... well that's a whole different story. She's set a new record low for getting up. 3.50. She remembered that Aiden was in my room and wanted to get up. That was it, wide awake.

She played nicely downstairs though, so I dosed in the lounge, getting up to repeatedly refill her fruitbowl/toast plate - girl was on a troughing mission. When Aiden got up, she was really excited and they played together for ages in the travel cot.

We headed out to the play cafe, as I knew it would be quiet cos of the gorgeous weather. It was indeed quiet. We had the whole place to ourselves in fact. Tatiana and Maisie came with their mummies after an hour, so Katie was pleased to see them. She did yet more eating - pom bears, satsumas, 2 yogurts! By the time we left both Katie and Aiden were shattered and asleep in the car before I'd left the carpark.

The swimming lesson was a challenge. Katie wanted to play with Aiden rather than do the lesson. He bobbed around in his seat merrily, playing with a ball. They'd only slept 20 minutes, so Katie was still really rather tired. She liked it when her and Ava were playing with the watering cans, and watered Ava. But both her and Ava's favourite bit of the trip seemed to be the 15 minutes that they spent together playing in the shower!

Katie fell asleep pretty quickly on the way home and then slept for another 2 hours. She took a lot of convincing to get up, and then just wanted to snuggle for 20minutes. We went to get bits for tea and she went in one of the rides. Pressing the buttons was doing less than normal, so I made the mistake of putting in the money to try make it better. Boy oh boy did she not like it. I wont do that again.
