Wrecked!
The old boat on the shore is disintegrating before our eyes. Every storm means there is less of it left. Last week there were a group of marine archaeologists examining it. They were looking at the decaying of the timbers and the iron work on it. Lying around it on the shingle there are huge nails which have fallen out of it, a huge rusty propeller and a massive anchor. As you can see, it is still safely moored with good strong length of chain, so it won't be going far!
A terrific day, bright, hot and sunny. Perfect for getting lots of washing dried in the back garden, while in the front, the guys came and laid the concrete screed on the floor of the new sitting room. The heat meant I had to keep spraying it with the hose to stop it drying out too quickly - which was a bit strange after all the rain we've been having!
