Relay For Life

Today started off at 7:30 because of the dentist. Then I did my marketing with Mike for a few hours. We first went to a Rochester Hills sub and got no leads. Mike left, so I took a sub by Troy High by myself. I got one lead and a good conversation with a Chinese lady. I'll start pulling weeds for her Monday for some more extra cash haha. Some of the people I meet while marketing have truly amazing stories, so I'm glad that I've gotten into this even though it's very grueling, especially in the sun.

Our band was near the end of its 24-hour music marathon, so I dropped by before going home. For fiddlers, we played at Relay For Life in the evening. It was fun being on stage one last time. After, we played some frisbee, watched other performances, and made a fun run to 7/11 before the ceremony. The candle lighting and lap of silence were very emotional. I'm grateful that nobody in my immediate family has been affected by cancer, but we all know people who have been affected. The Relay For Life goes out to them. I'm smiling in this picture because we hope that every performance, every dollar raised, every step walked, and every effort made will make a difference. In the end, that's what it's all about, coming together for a positive cause.

Peace.
