The Shining...

It was blowing quite a bit this afternoon, but Emma still insisted that we tramp half a kilometer against the wind, to the bird hide only to find that it was the birds hiding today and not us!

All we saw was Mrs Swan, still sitting nicely upon her nest (she's been there at least two weeks as far as I can remember) and a few Lapwings in the mid distance. The occasional Swallow would dip in front of us every few minutes, but they were finding most of their insects just above the lake surface.
