If blips could smell

this is one of the many yellow roses that adorn a street corner not far away from home. They smell just what roses should smell like, absolutely lovely and especially today when it was just such a warm and wonderful summer's day they gave off even more perfume than usual.

What a wonderful day, picnic on the Links, then a bit of time spent indoors (to escape the heat!!!) and back outside for the walk home. Friends round in the evening for a cheese fondue (beware of predictive text, on my phone the "fondue with friends later tonight" changed into "fondle with friends later tonight" - I assure you, it was the former!
