This morning after Master Pink had been taken to school, we went on a secret swimming pool trip. Secret because if he knew that Daddy had the day off or that we were going to go swimming, then he'd be very upset. Mr Pink was off on a lieu day, and with the weather outside very wet, we decided to go and get even wetter, and take Miss Pink to the leisure pool. As soon as we got there she was excited, and couldn't wait to "do splashing in puddles" by which she means splashing in the shallow bits of the pool. We said hello to the rain (water fountains) and hello to the buckets (buckets on the ceiling of the pool that tip down water), no to the waves, as she didn't like the waves too much. We had a really lovely morning splashing about and having fun.

After swimming we went to waitrose for some lunch as a treat. Miss Pink wasn't very interested in her children's lunch box, as mummy's pannini was far more interesting. However the mini box of smarties (that mummy had hidden from the lunch box) when finally revealed were VERY exciting!

Master Pink didn't miss out completely, we built a train set this evening when he got home, and played with that for ages. He helped me bake a batch of strawberry muffins. and got an iced foot biscuit from waitrose for pudding!
