Reining

I had my first experience trying to take pictures of reining today, thanks to my friend Sandra here, and her horse Annie. It looks so incredibly cool when she comes galloping full speed and then just stops like this! Check it out large - there's a lot of sand flying around :)

Edit: I also got to ride Annie myself after this, and wow... I've never ridden western style before, and man was it tricky! I did however pick up the courage to stop her from a gallop like this, but obviously didn't go near the speed Sandra stops from. It was quite cool, even though she only slid 30 cm or so when I did it, and this is probably more of a 1.5 m slide :)
