Towering Cloud

I woke to the most spectacular sky, bright pink clouds everywhere, and of course I knew I should have been down at the beach already if there was any hope of a great shot.

Alas 20 minutes later the light is very different, and the sun was hidden behind a blanket of clouds, but a large spectacular cloud was sitting behind Point Cartwright. I waited as long as I could for the sun to highlight this large cloud but this is the best I could get in the time that I had.

I would like to hope that it really did get brighter in the following minutes but it was not a really great morning for any spectacular shots. The sun really didn't get much of a show at all here today. A grey bleak morning but the surfers were still out.
