I read something recently that has really stuck in my mind. It was a piece of advice about landscape photography and simply stated that you should photograph the light, not the land. Theory being is that it's the light, not the actual subjects in a scene that can make or break a landscape image.

Good advice I say ... and I reckon this can be applied to all genres of photography. So, I'm going to try and follow this advice as much as possible - whether it's capturing long shadows cast by a low sun as in my previous Blip, or highlights cast by a distant (out of picture) bright sun such as in my Blip today.
