In the shadow of modernity

Just got back in from work so a bit late with this but better late than never! I went to Tate Modern today to see a number of recently opened photography displays they currently have on, including Taryn Simon, Burke and Norfolk's Photos from the War in Afghanistan and a group display of New Documentary Forms. All were very good and well worth seeing. The bus there dropped right at the bottom of this, the Shard, soon to be Europe's tallest building. It dwarfs the concrete tower behind it, itself once a sign of modernity. Notice the one missing pane of glass too...
