I Witness

Irredescence

I was enjoying the heat of our back sunroom when this Common Grackle came to feed in our feeder/birdbath. I was able to slide quietly out of the sliding door but not get too close before he flew off.

Common Grackles are blackbirds that look like they've been slightly stretched. They're taller and longer tailed than a typical blackbird, with a longer, more tapered bill and glossy-iridescent bodies.
