Face to Face, at last

This is another one of those statues I pass every day; in fact, Ive been seeing it I suppose for 30+ years because its is at the end of Park Lane which is the main throughfare into Central London/the West End from the North and the West.

I dont normally see him from the front though; its usually a view of his naked botty as one reaches Hyde Park Corner. Its one of London's busiest junctions and the sight of a man's bottom can be a bit distracting. It is a fine posterior though, as men's backsides go.

I think the front is a bit disappointing - its nothing special is it? Rather bland.

I suppose Im going to have to get a shot from the other side now to illustrate what I mean.

Oh dear..... how odd is that going to look.
