Hardworking Dad

Looking less than its usual smooth self, this hard working Blackbird has been scouring the borders for food for its hungry chicks - as has its mate.

The male does seem to spend rather more time sounding the alarm, simply because I have the temerity to go into the top part of the garden, than hunting at times though.

Such an unfortunate Latin name too...
