Build Me Up

It's a popular belief that children lose their innocence earlier in life these days due to the all encompassing, media fuelled and technological information super highway themed lifestyle we seem to lead.

During my pre school halcyon days where summers seemed to last a lifetime, I remember my father holding a butter cup under my chin and telling me that the yellow glow meant that i liked butter. My reaction, typical of a five year old from my generation was "Wow"

Fast forward a few years and my own daughter proclaimed at the same juncture,
"No dad!! I like jam!.................and sausages"
