On our walk today.............

.......there were fields and fields of poppies. We did an 11 mile circular walk from Corbridge via Aydon Castle up to Hadrian's Wall, along the Trail for a while and then back downhill to Corbridge again. The fields of poppies are dotted around the landscape and look very beautiful.

I decided to give this image a bit of treatment in Photoshop to create an impressionist effect. I'll be interested to know what you all think.

There were a few showers during the walk and waterproofs were on and off several times.
