Alexanderwerk

On popular request a picture of my favorite animal:

The "Alexanderwerk" cast-iron enameled fruit press. It weighs 5 kgs and dates from approx. 1920. Made by the Alexanderwerk factory in Remscheid, Germany. It is a "dachbodenfund" (loft find) from Berlin and I ran across it a few years ago. It returns from retirement back into service a day a year!

Dutchoak is a bit busy living his other life these days. The garden is and looks a little neglected. Still, the spirit is still here! Tomorrow: pruning the hedges. I'm looking forward to it!
