Balcony Politics is the working title for Mirl and Sidd's PhD dissertation. The premise is that being able to literally talk down to your subjects or followers is a position of power. Think the Pope, Evita, Castro, Michael Jackson, Pussolini (Mussolini's cat), ... It is a visual, audial and psychological "elevation". One must be more important because one is alone, high-up, distant and sounding really good. The small size of the balcony is also important to the concept of power. Not many can be so presented at any one time. There is room for only one or two up here. Mirl and Sidd have this all worked out. It works for them. They prefer to yowl at the human from this position. Then not only does the human slave get it, but all the neighborhood knows how powerful they are. Poor, poor pussies - so misunderstood.
